I am one of the most famous Keynotubers in the community, creating Keynotathlons all the way back to 2018. However, throughout my online history, I have switched between multiple interests over the past 7 years.
My name has been used since December 21, 2024. The "Kyoton" part comes from 6 of the 12 letters of "Keynotathlon". I used the technique of picking out certain letters from a word because it was very clever and also was used for Ash Ketchum's name from Satoshi (his Japanese name).
Then, I looked for a combination that was concise and intuitive for people to pronounce. I had an epiphany. I picked out the distinguishing letters and found out that I could make a nice reference to Kyoto city in Japan. That's how the first part was settled.
As for the "9" part, it is a discriminator because while choosing this name, I also found users who shared that name. The 9 symbolizes the fact that my Colorsathlon was the ninth Keynotathlon to be ever made. It is also Cirno's number, referencing Nazrininator (the creator of the Battle for Magic series) because he is also a huge Touhou fan.
